All judges know, with their judicial college training, that a child who refuses contact with a parent who has perpetrated this kind of domestic abuse, is not due to parental alienation. How can we ever understand without greater transparency what is behind these cases? The recent transparency reforms are a step in the right direction but are still grossly inadquate and will see many more tragic cases like this slip through the net.
